Leah started her cosmetology career in 2004 at the prestigious Aveda Academy in Toronto, Canada, studying under some of the industry’s most esteemed artists. She mastered the complex beauty of Aveda’s patented, natural coloring and styling processes before moving back to Iowa to became one of the most well-respected stylists and educators herself. In 2013, she opened PURE Salon & Spa in Ankeny. And today, her vision has blossomed into four salon locations throughout the Des Moines area.

Leah channels her international training daily through the art of cosmetology and savvy business skills. As founder of PURE, she has assembled one of the most creative, skilled, and sought-after team of stylists in the country. She is a constant source of motivation and inspiration to her staff and is dedicated to helping them succeed in their own career.
